wonder woman

my parents let me start having a refuge life group at our house. it's called wonder woman-obviously all girls. we only had two girls show up this week, but it's probably just because of the hurricane and all of the traffic and stuff. it was nice having it be kind of small the first time though. the girls who came were really nice. since i'm homeschooled i don't have a ton of friends. this may be a good opportunity for me to make some. i don't want to be one of those desperate looking people who sit in the corner of the room all by themselves wishing that someone would talk to them. which i'm not at all that way. you know what i mean though? i just don't have as many social activities as other girls, therefore i don't have quite as many friends. my brother just told me i sound like i'm having a pity party. i don't mean to sound that way at all. anyway, kristin young is the leader. she's really cool. actually, her and her husband charles are moving to africa in a few months. i'm really excited for them. i hope this Bible study will help me become a better person on the inside. next week we're supposed to be talking about proverbs 31. this week kristin told us that memorizing scripture is really an important thing to do. i haven't really memorized any scriptures since missionettes, sadly. i guess i never thought about it being essential, but it is. dwelling on scripture and keeping it on your tongue and in your thoughts keeps you awake and i guess it revives you and reminds you that you are supposed to always be living your life the way God wants you to. that's my new perspective on it. My verse for this week is john 15:13 (I think it's 15:13, it may be 13:15-I guess I need some more work) - I have given you an example to follow; do as I have done to you.
